Breck Craparo, AIA
A native New Yorker, at 24 I eagerly headed west to learn architecture and earned a Bachelor of Architecture at Woodbury University School of Architecture San Diego. After spending some time in British Columbia and interning with Olson Kundig in Seattle, I now work with Dick Clark + Associates in Austin Texas, where I am a registered architect.
This site is a collection of things I've designed and built myself with my own hands ranging from carpentry, steel fabrication, masonry in the landscape and also select academic work. Architecture typically takes place in a studio, on the computer at a desk or conference calls coordinating many parts of buildings but the workshop is a way for me to physically get into the material and fabrication. Building with your own hands reinforces the skill of an architect.
